"Why do I paint what I do? Wildlife has been a constant thread throughout my life: starting mainly from early childhood in Montana, and currently now, in Arizona. I remember numerous walks with my Parents & Grandparents during dusk and spotting deer. It wasn't uncommon to find bear tracks in the snow around the house. Horses were always around, & were easy to bond with. These creatures are social, vibrant, carefree, peaceful - each with their own distinctive personalities. They have a bold honesty I find captivating. As opportunity permits, additional subjects are finding their way into my body of works. Rendering these amazing creatures alive on canvas is my humble way of respecting & thanking their Creator. There is joy in sharing their story".
